In the middle of "fall" where would you like to travel? Well there is a region where you should be... and it's called "New England". There is no place on earth with such beautiful trees and colors like here in this particular season. It lasts only few weeks and it's better if you know the roads up here because some places are more colored then others. That is why we selected for you one of the best trail in the area.
We started our week-end from New Hampshire, near the border of Vermont. This is a land with some of the longest wood made covered bridges in the world, like this one here.
We selected for you a location to overnight and dine in the middle of wonderful trees and rivers, in the tranquil little town of Claremont, New Hampshire. The "Common Man Inn" is very comfortable place with huge rooms facing a beautiful view of the river and incredible charming, cozy ambiance.
We had the room and the river, with the space of a suite. But almost all the rooms in the Inn are big like this.
The chowder is one of the traditional recipe of this north-east region and the one served here at their restaurant is delicious.
They serve also some other fancy recipes like these giant "Tortelli" with veggies and nuts
Following the river up north to Vermont, we absolutely recommend a stop at "Sugar Bush Farm", near the quaint village of Woodstock. It's famous for producing very good cheese preserved in the wax and maple syrup.
Going east you will find another great location in proximity of Squam Lake. The colors continue to show up all along the way.
Right close to these calm and beautiful waters there is the second place we recommend for dine and overnight: it's the "Squam Lake Inn".
Cozy rooms, great place for a romantic gateway, or simply for hiking around the lake and its forest.
